Settings
Settings is where you customize everything about your board --- what it shows, how it looks, how it sounds, and how the screen behaves.
Opening Settings¶
There are two ways to open Settings:
- Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the board.
- Long-press anywhere on the board background.
Tip
If you have hidden the gear icon, the long-press gesture is the only way to reach Settings.
There are two ways to open Settings:
- Press Play/Pause on the Siri Remote.
- Long-press the center button on the Siri Remote.
Settings categories¶

| Display | Clock visibility and format, animation style, character style, font color, message timing, and content options. |
| Sound | Flip sound effects, volume level, and sound hours schedule. |
| Screen & UI | Screen idle behavior and settings button visibility. |
| Sources | Adding, removing, and configuring message sources. See Message Sources. |
iCloud Sync¶
All settings sync automatically between your iPad and Apple TV via iCloud. Change a setting on one device and it appears on the other within moments.
Note
iCloud Sync requires that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and have iCloud Drive enabled for Arrivals.
