Apple TV
Arrivals Board on Apple TV turns your television into an always-on split-flap display. The board is sized for big-screen viewing, with large flaps that are easy to read from across the room.
Always-on display
Apple TV is ideal for running Arrivals around the clock. Enable Keep Screen Awake in Settings > Screen to prevent the screensaver from interrupting your board. See Ambient Display for a full setup guide.
Navigating with the Siri Remote¶
All interaction happens through the Siri Remote:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Play/Pause | Open or close the settings panel |
| Swipe left / right | Navigate between messages |
| Press Select | Open settings (alternative) |
See Remote Controls for the complete button mapping.
QR code sign-in¶
Signing in to social accounts on a TV can be awkward without a keyboard. Arrivals shows a QR code on your TV --- scan it with your phone, sign in there, and you are done. No typing required.
See QR Authentication for the step-by-step flow.
Display rotation¶
If your TV is mounted in portrait orientation (or upside down), Arrivals can rotate the board to match. The grid adjusts automatically.
See Display Rotation for details.
iCloud sync¶
Sources, settings, and preferences sync across your devices via iCloud. If you have already set up Arrivals on your iPad, your Apple TV will pick up the same configuration automatically.
Set up on iPad, display on TV
Sources like Bluesky, Threads, RSS, MQTT, Calendar, and Weather are easier to configure on iPad where you have a keyboard and browser. Set them up there and they will sync to your Apple TV.
